According to Kent, the car received first prize as the best car at the Swedish Jaguar Club’s annual meeting in Tällberg in 2008.

Philip Porter of the English XK club is reported to have said of the restoration: “Great restoration, couldn’t be better”.

Kent recalls that Philip Porter’s comment was made when participants in the historic rally from London to St Petersburg passed through Dalarna in the summer of 2006. His account describes a group of around 40 XK cars.
Beyond the named first prizes, Kent describes the appreciation of people with a general interest in cars, enthusiasts and professional restoration judges. He also records that the car’s history and restoration have been featured in motoring magazines.
